Fall Fashion 2010

I dont claim to be a fashion expert, but I know what looks good, and try to keep on top of things. In fall 2010, I think a lot of the military influenced fashion will continue, such as desert boots and pea coats. Although Im thinking the Pea Coat may be overtaken by the leather jacket and similar pea coat-esque jackets, such as whats shown below:

All of this is a really dope look, as for footwear I think think the Clark Desert boot will make a return. Stores like Urban Outfitters are doing everything to bring this shoe back to the forefront. Chukkas will likely gain popularity as well. I think the best Desert Boot is probably the beeswax. They usually run for 100-130 USD but if you look around you can sometimes find them on sale for around 89. The Clark Wallabee will also likely gain popularity.

I also predict that graphic tees will be tossed in the closet in favor of a plainer more mature look, at least for the 20 and up crowd. Polo, will likely decrease in popularity as well, albeit slowly. One thing I wish people would stop doing is dressing from head to toe in the same brand, people do this all the time with Polo. It makes you look like you're a trying to model for whatever the brand is and it will seem like you bought everything at the same place. I try to not wear more than two items of the same brand at one time. Also, people should keep in mind that most boat shoes are seasonal, and not really intended to be worn in the winter, though sperry does make some that are not seasonal, and are advertised as such. Another dope idea ive seen is people wearing dress shoes in a more casual setting, this can also create a really dope look, especially in the winter as opposed to boat shoes.

Mac Miller: K.I.D.S

I Found out about Mac Miller back in April, and became a fan because of his ability to maintain mainstream appeal while staying true to Golden Age hip hop principles. Also, I was really feeling this dude cause we have similar dress styles and he basically raps about the same lifestyle that I live, so I could really relate. His album dropped on Friday, and needless to say it had a lot of dope tracks, but it had a lot of pop-esque garbage on it too. Mac's only 18 years old though, and still has a lot of time to mature as a lyricist ( he does need some work lyrically). Its going to be interesting to watch him mature over the years. He's already set himself up for success getting a deal with Rostrum records, the same label wiz khalifa is signed to, and collaborating with Wiz and Skyzoo. The day his album dropped, it was the number 1 download on datpiff.com. He's got some excellent production from Big Jerm as well.

If you're feeling it, you should download K.I.D.S. at datpiff.com. Dude has a lot of potential, and he's what Hip-Hop needs right now, so I'm really hoping he improves lyrically and content wise.

Peace
